'O' Circuit Trek - Torres del Paine |
I booked the 8-day 'O' Circuit hike in Torres del Paine through Unu Raymi and completed the hike in late December 2023. The booking process before the hike was fairly straightforward and James was able to answer the various questions I had. had. The hike itself was fantastic and I had a great team with Francisco (as my guide) and Teo (as cook/porter) along the way. Francisco obviously knew the trail well, and was also very knowledgeable about the plants we saw and was able to point out the names of the different mountains along the hike, as well as being very good at watching the condors up high during the hike. several days. . Teo did an excellent job with the meals during the hike. He was able to accommodate my request for vegan food and I was amazed at the variety of different meals he was able to prepare, including fresh vegetables at different times, and each meal was delicious. Overall, it was a fantastic experience! |
'O' Circuit Trek - Torres del Paine |
The staff is AMAZING. I thought we were joining a group, but it turned out we were a private hike! The guide was professional, highly qualified, incredibly helpful, and very focused on our safety and enjoyment the entire time. Our porter didn't speak English, but he was also overqualified (highly trained climber) for this job and was great to be with. We even had a cook (what?!?!), which surprised us because we thought we were going to eat in shelters (there is excellent food service even in the tent-only areas. We were completely spoiled by their kitchen, and there was always more than enough to eat. |
'O' Circuit Trek & El Chaltén |
It was a great experience in Patagonia. James has been helpful when there are concerns or questions. The O trek and the chalten have a lot to give. The guides are fantastic. They go out of their way to make sure you are safe, but they are also a lot of fun! |
