Afterwards, venturing deeper into the Patagonian wild landscapes of El Chalten and El Calafate to explore the unique natural phenomenon’s of this largely untouched national pampa.
Covering destinations from Buenos Aires all the way to Southern Patagonia, this tour is a great way to discover both Argentina’s natural splendor and unique culture. In just over a week, you will be able to experience some of the country’s most iconic destinations through various excursions ranging from quiet retreats and scenic drives to wildlife watching and exhilarating hikes.

Joining Arrangements
There will be a pre-trek briefing held usually the evening before departure, at your hotel, to go over the details of the trek and any specific requirements not already captured.
Food & Water
Prior to setting off we recommend you steer clear of street food and only eat in good restaurants, to avoid any stomach complaints. Likewise with tap water, it is largely untreated, please only consume bottled water only or sterilised water if you have the right equipment.

We’ll ensure that we cater for all of your dietary needs, at the point of booking we’ll collect this information from you. We can secure special menu requests also for your trek party.
Trekking Crew
We are able to customise our treks to suit you, but usually our treks are guided by a professional bilingual guide, mountain cook, arriero (horseman) and mules to carry all equipment (passenger horses also available on request). They become a large part of your trekking expedition and it’s a great experience working together.

Arrival into the Capital of Argentina: Buenos Aires
Arrival at Buenos Aires Airport, collection and then transfer to your hotel where you can relax after a long flight. However the lure of the city will beckon you. Take a quick nap and shower, and then you can venture out into the welcoming arms of Buenos Aires and explore.
When evening falls and dinnertime arrives, dine with the locals, Buenos Aires is a culture that thrives after dark, and it's not uncommon for locals to have dinner well past nine in the evening, especially on weekends.

Buenos Aires City Tour, Dinner & Tango Show
After breakfast, you'll be taken on a tour of Buenos Aires by your guide. During this tour,
you’ll visit Retiro as well as Avenida 9 de Julio, South America’s widest avenue. Along this
street, you'll see the Teatro Colon, the continent's most opulent opera house, and the iconic Obelisco monument along with visiting other important locations and monuments of
Buenos Aires.
In the evening, enjoy a famous Argentinian steak and a tango show, one of Argentina's
most iconic cultural highlights.

Buenos Aires to Montevideo by Ferry
Private full-day tour to Colonia del Sacramento from Buenos Aires, including round-trip transfers and express ferry tickets. Stroll the cobblestone streets of Colonia on a walking tour of the UNESCO-listed Historic Quarter and learn about the town’s rich colonial past. Admire the blend of Spanish, Portuguese and post-colonial architecture as you visit landmarks like Nacarello´s House, the Portuguese Museum, the Viceroy’s House and the Basilica of the Holy Sacrament.

Fly out of Buenos Aires to El Calafate
This morning you'll have a domestic flight out of Buenos Aires to El Calafate, Patagonia – 3hr 15min flight.
Upon arrival at El Calafate, early to mid-afternoon, you’ll be transferred to your hotel.
You have the rest of the day relaxing or exploring the quaint cafes and shops around town.
Accommodation: El Calafate (Alto Calafate Hotel)
Meals: Breakfast.

Glaciares National Park. Perito Moreno Boat & Walking Tour
Today, you're in for an exciting full-day excursion. Starting with a pick up from your hotel in El Calafate, followed by a one-hour transfer to Los Glaciares National Park. Entering the park, you'll catch your first glimpse of the majestic Perito Moreno. This expansive ice mass flows down from the Andes out over the turquoise waters of Lago Argentino, ending abruptly in a great wall that curves around the lake.
Upon arrival, you'll be able to admire Perito Moreno from a number of different viewpoints via the network of wooden walkways carefully situated in front of the glacier. Even better,
you'll also get up close and personal with its massive ice wall on a boat tour.
After a day spent discovering the glacier and wandering the numerous trails, you'll head back to El Calafate to enjoy the evening as you please.

Glaciers Experience - Up close and Personal!
Today, you'll take part in an exciting full-day cruise through Los Glaciares National Park, one of the most wonderful places in Southern Patagonia. Sailing aboard the Glaciers Gourmet will allow you to enjoy the highest standard of comfort and gourmet cuisine for a truly memorable experience.
The most renowned glaciers include Spegazzini, rising 442 feet (135m) above sea level, Upsala covering an entire valley with a length of 32 miles (53km), and Perito Moreno, a massive glacier that is constantly advancing and calving—one of nature’s most impressive sights.
In the morning, you'll be picked up at your hotel in El Calafate to join the scenic cruise.
Lunch will be served on board, and you'll return to El Calafate in the early evening.

Bus from El Calafate - El Chaltén. Trek to Laguna Torre.
You'll take a morning bus from El Calafate to El Chaltén. The scenic bus journey will take about 3 hrs. On arrival, collection & transfer to your accommodation in El Chaltén.
Afternoon free to explore or trek to Laguna Torre from El Chaltén (c.6km), returning late afternoon and enjoy your hotel amenities.
Accommodation: Los Cerros, El Chaltén.

Day trek to Mt. Fitzroy - El Chaltén
Trek to the jewel in the crown of Patagonia, El Chaltén - Mt Fitzroy.
The route to Mt. Fitz Roy starts from the edge of El Chaltén then ascends above the Las Vueltas river valley. The trail levels out as it passes through the forest, along Laguna Capri, and then through glorious mountain-framed meadows.
The final approach to Mount Fitz Roy is on a very steep, rock-strewn trail that guides you to a viewpoint overlooking the Laguna de los Tres. The Fitz Roy trek is around 21.4 km (13.3m) round trip and will take 8- 10 hrs. It’s rated moderate to hard and has an elevation gain of 864 m/2835 ft.

Fly from El Calafate to Buenos Aires - Departure.
Leaving early to mid morning, you'll take the bus from El Chaltén to El Calafate, in time for your connecting flight to Buenos Aires. Early afternoon you'll take your flight back to Buenos Aires
