During our stay in El Chalten, we were caught in a snowstorm and roads were closed for 2 days. James and Martin helped us during these 2 days with our extended stay in the hostel and arranged transportation back to the airport. They kept us informed of the road closure status and made sure we were able to go back to the airport safely and continue our trip in Argentina. We recommend Tour Radar & Unu Raymi!!!

I chose the "South Peru adventure" and added a visit to the Ballestas/Huacachina at the start and one extra day in the Amazon at the end. All the different trips around Cusco (and Ica) as well as the main trip to Choquequirao and Machu Picchu were well organized and I felt like I got to see the best parts of the Andean region. The guides were all experts and I felt safe and part of the team at all places I visited. Nam (USA) - Peaks of Ausangate & Cordillera Huayhuash - 21 Days | This tour was one of the best adventures I had in my life. The guides Eduardo and Herman are kind, knowledgeable, and were always checking up on me since we were at 16,000+ altitude. They know the terrain very well and we’re giving me history and geography lessons on the trail. We shared many laughs and stories together. Our mountain cook Jaime cooked delicious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and was always offering me a hot beverage. Pedro our horseman always had my tent ready at the next camp! The sites on and around Ausangate are awe inspiring. There are way less trekkers on this trail than the others, so if you are looking for peace and calm, this is the trek to be on. We had to start very early some days and the. reward was seeing the crimson sky and sunrise. Overall this was a thrilling trek, one that tested my limits, and left me humbled and helped me define who I am. Totally recommend it to any adventure seekers!

Joel (AUS) - 'O' Circuit Trek, Torres del Paine - 8 Days | I booked the 8-day ‘O’ Circuit trek in Torres del Paine through Unu Raymi and completed the trek in late December 2023. The booking process prior to the trek was quite straightforward, and James was able to answer the various questions that I had. The trek itself was fantastic and I had an excellent team in Francisco (as my guide) and Teo (as the cook/porter) out on the trail. Francisco obviously knew the trail well, and in addition had very good knowledge about the plants we saw and was able to point out the names of the various mountains throughout the trek, as well as being very good at spotting the condors high above on several days. Teo did a superb job with the meals on the trek. He was able to accommodate my request for vegan food and I was amazed at the variety of the different meals he was able to prepare, including fresh vegetables at various times, and every meal tasted great. Overall it was a fantastic experience!

They have been flexible with my dates, and with a last minute organization. All information was clear, and has been available in advance. They have been with me at all times. Lucho is a guide with a lot of experience, and walking with him in El Chaltén has been very pleasant. I adapt the itinerary so that you can enjoy the time I was there as much as possible, and it allowed me to see more places than I expected. In Torres del Paine, Edgar has been an excellent guide. He knows the park very well, he has been a wonderful cook, I never thought I would eat this well while trekking and he has made the experience wonderful. Reservé la caminata del Circuito 'O' de 8 días en Torres del Paine a través de Unu Raymi y completé la caminata a fines de diciembre de 2023. El proceso de reserva antes de la caminata fue bastante sencillo y James pudo responder las diversas preguntas que tenía. La caminata en sí fue fantástica y tuve un excelente equipo con Francisco (como mi guía) y Teo (como cocinero/portero) en el camino. Francisco obviamente conocía bien el sendero, y además tenía muy buen conocimiento sobre las plantas que vimos y fue capaz de señalar los nombres de las distintas montañas a lo largo de la caminata, además de ser muy bueno para observar a los cóndores en lo alto durante varios días. . Teo hizo un excelente trabajo con las comidas durante la caminata. Pudo satisfacer mi solicitud de comida vegana y me sorprendió la variedad de diferentes comidas que pudo preparar, incluidas verduras frescas en distintos momentos, y cada comida estaba deliciosa. Nuestro viaje a Perú con Unu Raymi Expeditions fue absolutamente increíble. Todo estuvo muy bien, organizado por el equipo. Perú nos sorprendió con sus impresionantes y diversos paisajes, y vimos mucho más de lo que esperábamos. Hay demasiadas excursiones que merecen una mención especial, pero lo más destacado fue pasar la Navidad con una familia local en Amantaní, en el lago Titicaca. Fue una experiencia única y conmovedora que siempre recordaremos. Machu Pichu, la Montaña Arcoíris, el Lago Humantay, etc., fueron todos sueños hechos realidad, sin embargo, el equipo de Unu Raymi demostró que ¡hay mucho más para ver en Perú! Como siempre hay algunas opciones a dónde ir y qué hacer. Después de un breve momento de pensar, tomé una decisión y, con la bendición de mi cónyuge, reservé el Trekking Tour Ausangate. Me encantó. ¿Qué es lo que no me encanta de esto? Los picos de las montañas, los lagos y las cascadas, la flora y fauna inusuales… Es difícil, te lo aseguro, combatir el mal de altura, pero es manejable y con los cuidados adecuados pasa pronto. Cada paso y ángulo es diferente y todo el lugar es pura magia. He conocido a varias personas buenas en mi camino. El organizador Lider y mi guía Javier están por siempre en mi corazón.  Verified El viaje de tu vida a los Picos del Ausangate
Esta gira fue una de las mejores aventuras que tuve en mi vida. Los guías Eduardo y Herman son amables, conocedores y siempre me estaban controlando desde que estábamos a más de 16 000 de altitud. Conocen muy bien el terreno y me están dando lecciones de historia y geografía en el camino. Compartimos muchas risas e historias juntos. Nuestro cocinero de montaña, Jaime, preparó deliciosas comidas para el desayuno, el almuerzo y la cena y siempre me ofrecía una bebida caliente. ¡Pedro nuestro jinete siempre tenía mi carpa lista en el próximo campamento! Los sitios en Ausangate y sus alrededores son impresionantes. Hay muchos menos excursionistas en este sendero que en los otros, por lo que si busca paz y tranquilidad, este es el recorrido que debe realizar. Tuvimos que empezar muy temprano algunos días y el. La recompensa fue ver el cielo carmesí y el amanecer.  Verified Perú Aventura con Unu Raymi
Unu Raymi tours me ayudó a organizar unas vacaciones de tres semanas en Perú. Esto me permitió visitar muchos de los sitios más importantes del país pero con flexibilidad para agregar algunos lugares adicionales a mi itinerario. La planificación fue excelente en el sentido de que todos los tours, traslados y arreglos de hotel fueron muy sencillos y los diversos contactos fueron muy útiles, considerados y profesionales. Aunque moverse por Perú y ver todos los sitios fabulosos hizo que las vacaciones fueran rápidas, con muchos viajes, valió la pena, ya que hay mucho que ver. Los estándares del hotel, la comida y el tour parecían tener una muy buena relación calidad-precio dentro del presupuesto, y recibí mucha orientación adicional para planificar mis propios aspectos del viaje y apoyo cuando surgió un problema médico inesperado. Acabo de terminar el W trek de invierno reservado con unu raymi. Toda la experiencia fue maravillosa: un paisaje increíble dirigido por el mejor guía, Andrés y el portero, Víctor. Desde conocer todos los mejores lugares y sugerencias para brindarnos la mejor ruta de senderismo, hasta cocinar deliciosas comidas y asegurarse de que estuviéramos bien alimentados y atendidos en todo momento, Andrés hizo todo lo posible para brindarnos una experiencia especial. We booked the 18 days backpacker special tour across South Peru, and the whole trip, from accommodation to transport, was incredibly well organised. Every location we visited was beautiful, had great food, and the tour guides were all very friendly and informative. The Ausangate trek was also well planned, and the horsemen and cook made a huge difference. James and Edwin would also check in with us on a regular basis and keep us updated on the itinerary.
Definitely an incredible once in a lifetime experience!

Booking and communicating with James was straightforward and simple.The whole hiking experience was so wonderful- lead by the best guide, Andres and porter, Victor. They were instrumental to the trip being a truly special once in a lifetime experience. From knowing all the best spots and suggestions to give us the best hiking journey, to cooking delicious meals and making sure we were well fed and looked after at all times, Andres went above and beyond in order to give us a special experience. The tour was incredibly well organised with Andres customising the itinerary taking into account the weather to ensure we got to see the view points at their absolute best. Andres’a cooking was also amazing considering we were out camping and only had the ingredients we were carrying. The tour is incredible and I can highly recommend.

Since we were in off season the refugios were closed and we slept in tents. Most of the time we were the only ones there which made it a really special experience. Andres did amazing and he made sure everything was well arranged which was a bit more of a challenge since we were in off season. Most importantly we felt really save and in good hands with Andres! Also the contact with James was effortless and with very quick respons! We would definitely recommend!

James through his contacts in Chilean Patagonia was able to get me on the coveted "O" Trek with only a months notice (other trekkers at the campsites had booked in August or earlier). I keep describing the Trek to friends and family as hard but incredible!

The local guides and porters were all friendly and made the experience quite incredible. The trip was the reset that I needed at the end of 2022 and am thankful to Unu Raymi Expeditions for making it happen!

I don't think our guides Faco and Mika work in Peru, but I would certainly recommend them - they were very attentive to us and gave us a tailored experience that was challenging but not too much - and at the end of the day made us delicious food. They were also incredibly knowledgeable - we learnt a lot about the Patagonian landscape, animals and plants... Plus we felt like they were hosting and looking after us, not just guiding. It was a fantastic experience that we will never forget.

All the way during our Peru journey with Unu Raymi we feel confidence and care. We made Ausangate trekking, Sacred valley and Nazca lines with them. Everything they do is well planed. Moreover, during our trip heavy rains destroyed a part of rail road to Machu Picchu making it impossible for us to visit as planned, and Unu Raymi took the effort to replan the trip - making sure we visit it.

Itinerary

Departure to the Galapagos Enchanted Islands, reception by our National Park guides, accommodation and rest at the hotel. In the afternoon you'll visit the Upper Part, which includes a Private Ranch, where "giant tortoises" will be found in their natural habitat. Then you will return to the hotel, have the rest of the afternoon free and then dinner.

Overnight - Hotel

Today you'll visit the Charles Darwin Research Station, which is operated by the Charles Darwin Foundation, in this place you will visit the exhibitors of turtles and land iguanas. Since it is in charge of the captive breeding programs and the research of the species of land iguanas and ten of the fifteen subspecies of giant tortoises still alive. This was the home of the Lonesome George tortoise, the last species on Pinta Island, they also have an incubation and repatriation program for newborn reptiles in captivity. Lunch. Then you'll have the rest of the afternoon free and you can carry out any activity of your liking. Hotel & Dinner.

Breakfast at the hotel, the guides will be waiting for you to walk to the passenger dock, and you'll board the boat for 45 minutes to Pinzón Island. During this tour, you can observe penguins, manta rays, and whales (depending on the season). The crew members of the boat perform the demonstration of throwing fishing rods to try their luck. Afterward, open-water snorkeling will take place in the sheltered bay near Pinzón Island, then you'll visit Las Palmas Beach. After lunch, you can snorkel at the beach. Hotel & Dinner.

Breakfast at 9:00 am, then you'll go out to visit the beautiful Playa Tortuga Bay, named after the nesting of the black turtle, this beach is characterized by its landscape, it is ideal for observing fauna, mainly sea lions, flamingos, iguanas, and some other species, you'll be seeing these species during the tour. Then you return to the hotel to enjoy lunch. In the afternoon the tunnels of love will be visited. Hotel & Dinner.

In the morning, you'll visit Garrapatero beach, it is a beautiful virgin beach where you can enjoy the turquoise water. Behind the beach is a lagoon where you can find flamingos, black-necked patillos, Galapagos finches, and many migratory birds. In the afternoon after lunch, you'll visit Los Alemanes Beach, this beach is one of the most iconic on the island of Santa Cruz, just 5 minutes from the town of Puerto Ayora. Here you can see the best sunsets, with a sky of colors among a variety of birds and marine iguanas. Hotel & Dinner.

Las Tintoreras ~ White-tip Shark In this tide pool channel, you will see a large school of white-tip sharks relaxing on the bottom of the sea bed. Snorkel with penguins, sea turtles, marine iguanas, and sea lions. The Galapagos penguin is the second smallest penguin species in the world. Traditional Daily Lunch on Isabela.

Arnaldo Tupiza Centro de Crianza ~ Breeding Center - Multiple species of giant tortoises from Isabela are being studied in captivity. Windy trail through four different species of mangrove, multiple small lagoons, and tide pools. Encounter flamingos and shoreline birds like herons, frigate birds, mockingbirds, and pelicans.

Accommodation in Hotel.

GPS airport fly to Quito departures time: 11:11 am The twins will be visited, which are fantastic volcanic formations where you can appreciate the exuberant endemic vegetation of the Island. Return to the hotel where they there will be a transfer and assistance to the airport to take your return flight.
