With 6.739 meters above sea level, the Llullaillaco volcano is one of the 5 highest volcanoes in the world, where it was discovered the highest Inca sanctuary. Also, it is part of the +6500m mountains in the American Andes. Located in the Atacama Desert in the Andes Mountains, it is the most spectacular expedition in South America, where our trained guides will take care of every detail, providing the safety and backup needed in every part of the way.

Notes
• 1 or 2 extra days should be foreseen, in case of weather conditions or for acclimatization reasons. Both will be at the discretion of the guides of the expedition.
• The Company reserves for itself the right to modify the itinerary or suspend any of the activities when any climatic cause or of any
other nature justifies it in favor of the safety of the members of the group.
• If there is no acclimatization and a participant needs to return to Salta for safety reasons, transfer and any other expense is not covered in the rate.

Camps + Base Camp in Llullaillaco and Atacama
• Dining tent equipped with electricity (220v 50hz),
chairs and table. General kitchen equipment.
• Wi-Fi connection provided by Starlink.
• Communication system: VHF, Spot or satellite
telephony to be used in emergencies.
• Oxygen tube, mask and emergency regulator.

High altitude camps
• Ozark tents or similar. Two/three people per tent.
• Food service: The assistants together with the guide
will cook and provide hot food and drinks.
• The tents must be set up and taken down by
customers every morning as necessary.
Weather forecast
• Weather forecast will be provided by our team in
Salta and it will be communicated day to day to our
guide leader.

    Departure from Salta to San Antonio de los Cobres (3.650 masl) to spend the night as a first day of acclimatization. On our way to Ingeniero Maury we will do the first trekking to start adapting to the altitude.
